Mindfulness enables you to centre, to be in touch with yourself and your feelings.

Instructions:

Set aside just seven minutes. Find a quiet place. Sit still. Be aware of your breathing. Feel you breath, either as it flows in and out of your nose, or as you sense it in your abdomen. Breathe naturally - not deep, forced breaths. When thoughts arise be aware of them but let them go and return to focussing on your breath.

After seven minutes, come back to your surroundings and get back into the activities of your day.

This simple meditation practice will shift you from a "doing" mode to a "being" mode. You may want to be aware of your breath from time to time during the day, especially if you are stressed.
